What are the minimum requirements to run MatrixSuite? |

600MHz Pentium II or better, 128 MB RAM, and 50MB disk space. For optimal performance, we recommend a 1.0GHz Pentium III or better with 256MB RAM.

What operating system does your application support? |

A. |
Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP are our preferred OSs. Windows 98 and Windows ME are operational, but not recommended for trading.

Will I be able to trade using my dial up modem? |

Yes, our software support connectivity from 28.8 modems and higher. Although we recommend you subscribe to DSL or Cable if it’s available in your area. If none is available, you may be able to subscribe to Satellite service.

I keep losing connection with your TradeMatrix software. What is going on? |
|
A. |
Make sure there’s a successful test by clicking on 'Configure', 'System Settings' and check the 'Connections' tab, click 'TEST'. If everything fails, there’s a possibility that you have lost connection to your ISP or you have a faulty connection. You can try to reset your connection by disconnecting and reconnecting.

I am using a firewall on my computer; do I need to open any ports? |

A. |
If you are behind a firewall, you need to open the following ports on that firewall. Ports: 5101, 8103, 8109 and 8552 on the IP mapping of 216.65.216.0. Please contact your System Administrator for more information on how to open ports.

Will I be able to trade if I am using software based firewall? (i.e. ZoneAlarm, Personal Firewall, BlackICE, etc.) |

Yes. Note, however, that some personal firewalls require you to open ports, while others require you to register the 'executable'. Please check your firewall documentation in order to determine how to enable software access outside of your firewall.

How can I find my IP address on my computer? |

How can I ping an IP address of your server? |

A. |
At the DOS Prompt (click start, click run, type command), type, “ping x.x.x.x” (without quotes). I.e. ping 192.128.1.1 if you encounter any 'timeouts' or 'destination unreachable' the connectivity is either broken or poor.

How can I setup Dual Monitor on my system? |

The easiest solution is to purchase a video card with dual support. They can be found with many vendors including Maxtor, Nvdia, and ATI. An AGP slot is required, and they are usually the 'brown' colored slots seated further up the motherboard.
