TradeMatrix Software Release Notes

Current Version 5.42

19 August 2008: TradeMatrix 5.42

  • Provides GTC order functionality for Options Orders
  • XML file modified to include GTC for Limit, Stop, Stop Limit orders
  • Handling GTC for Options orders and placing the Options GTC orders in Daily orders table rather than GTC order table
  • Processing outstanding GTC orders for sufficient buy power during day beginning and cancelling orders if there is not enough buy power
  • Corrections in Merrill Fix Engine - Handles GTC with Time in Force.

25 July 2008: TradeMatrix 5.40

  • eSignal DLL:   VIX option chain was not being displayed due to a bug in eSignal that was waiting for both calls and put data to be received before displaying the option chain.  This bug is fixed now and the code now checks for end of data indicator rather than waiting for the put data to arrive.
  • Time of Sale Window:  Pre-market color coding was wrong for snap shot data.  Only real time data was being displayed with the pre-market color coding.  This bug is now fixed and when it displays the snapshot data, every print is checked for its time and the proper color code is used for displaying the snapshot data.
  • Level 2 Window:  When order type is Market, the TIF defaults to DAY.

13 May 2008: TradeMatrix 5.35

  • When the shortable quantity is zero, the SS button was enabled and when pressed would display the shortable quantity as zero.  Instead, the button now turns Red.
  • When a layout is opened, the Rapid Order Entry panel is hidden if it is not a market maker.

       This bug is fixed now.

  • Removed ALGO routes
  • Defaults are loaded correctly when loaded from MarketView, TOS and other windows.
  • The title of the window shows the symbol name twice instead of Symbol-Firm Name.  This bug is fixed now.

28 April 2008: TradeMatrix 5.34

  • Rapid order entry panel is now available for both retail and market making clients.
  • Time in force GTC is removed for option orders.
  • A bug that crashes level-2 window every now and then is fixed.
  • When the bail option is selected, the option orders would get stuck.  This bug was due to not properly filling the expiration date in the XML.  The bug is fixed now.  However, sometimes if the level-1 data is not available (required to get the expiration date), account manager will display a message saying that the expiration date is not available so that the user knows that there could a problem in executing the bail order.

18 April 2008: TradeMatrix 5.33

  • Color coding for the execution status bar was not working due to a bug.
  • The text “Street” is no longer displayed for non-market making firms.
  • While saving layouts the panel positions for level-2 windows are saved.
  • A bug that doesn’t display the exchange name in options level-2 display is now fixed.
  • A bug that does not display colors properly when the level-1 quotes is turned off is fixed.
  • All hard coding related to retail/market making builds have been removed and the decisions are database driven now.
  • Tool bar size is fixed.  Earlier buttons used to be partially hidden, especially in VISTA.
  • The buttons are now displayed based on the firm type and user type.  For example, for retail firms, ACT order book button will not appear.  This configuration is now XML based.
  • Support for removing separate builds for retail and market making is provided.  This component now passes the firm type to all the other components from the client manager.
  • A blank space at the bottom of the window, created when the rapid order entry panel was removed, is now fixed.
  • In some cases the window would display “Street: 0” text which is now removed.
